North East Hayling
Residents Association

Our nearest library is the Hayling Island Library or phone 0845 6035631

Please note if you have difficulties in reaching a library, a friend or relative can borrow books from any Hampshire library on your behalf.

Alternatively, Hampshire Library Service may be able help......

the Home Library Service is for people who are no longer able to get to the nearest library or mobile stop, due to frailty or mobility problems, and don’t have anyone living locally to borrow books for them. They can usually arrange for one of their volunteers to visit them to exchange library materials. This service is free.

If you know someone who could benefit from this service, or you’d be interested in helping once a month as a Home Library Service volunteer, then please talk to staff at your nearest library, call 0845 6035631 or apply using the online form at Home Library Service

Please note that potential volunteers have a free Criminal Records Bureau check and all accepted volunteers need to comply with instructions and standards as set out by library staff.

Or why not take a stroll to the North Hayling Recreation Hall on the last Thursday of the month (except December). Come along between 10 and 12, choose a book or bring one with you for donation and have a chat over a coffee. A small library is available which is replenished from donations and is for use by the community. Children are also welcome and there is a selection of books for them too.
