Our members are the heart of the North East Hayling Residents’ Association. Without a strong membership, we are unable to represent and protect this beautiful area we all call home. We’re proud to say that membership reached 264 households in 2024 — our highest ever.

Community Events & Activities
- Spring and Winter General Meetings (with free refreshments!)
- Fish and Chip Bingo evening
- Pop-Up Pub Nights
- Village Pantomime
- Carols in the Village – raising over £270 for the Hayling Food Bank
Community Support & Fundraising
- Community Responders evening — raising over £260
- Reverse Advent Calendar — over 75 boxes donated to the Hayling Island Community Food Pantry over the past 2 years
Looking After Our Area
- Litter collections throughout the village
- Maintenance of the telephone box information centre and book exchange

Behind the Scenes — Representing You
The elected committee supports important ongoing work, including:
- 10 full committee meetings a year
- Reviewing Local Plan Proposals and planning applications to protect the character of our area
- Working with councillors and partner organisations
- Involvement in major local projects (such as Coastal Defences, North Common and Project Gridlock)
- Costs of insurance, hiring the village hall, running this website and publicity
- Updating and maintaining the Facebook group news and website
- Minutes creation
- Membership follow-ups
- Financial management

- £3 for single membership
